Festive 2025 By Fait Maison Bali

In Our Kitchen, the Spirit of the Holidays Is Crafted by Hand

In Bali, the holiday season looks nothing like the European winter. Yet, year after year, we hold onto something essential to us: a sense of tradition in the way we cook — rooted in simple gestures, patient craftsmanship, and the quiet pleasure of making things ourselves.

As the festive season approaches, we feel a familiar spirit returning. This is a moment unlike any other, the time of year when we let our hands speak: creating things with soul, shaping memories through flavors, and imagining small rituals that families can share. A DIY cookie that parents and children decorate together, a gingerbread house built slowly at the kitchen table — these are more than sweets. They are moments of joy, made to be created together, eaten together, lived together.

We cook the way one passes something on: carefully, deliberately, and with the desire to offer something genuine, even in the warmth of the tropics. In a culinary landscape often defined by speed, we choose another path. We favor craftsmanship, detail, and repeated trials — the kind of work that leaves traces of intention behind every element, visible or not.

Our Festive 2025 page was shaped with this spirit. It is an invitation to discover the meaning behind our creations: the handmade gingerbread houses, the playful cookie boxes, the delicatessen crafted with our usual blend of French savoir-faire and local inspiration. Each reflects the same philosophy — doing things with care, with heart, and always with the feeling of home.
